I spent a lifetime telling
other people’s stories.
This is the story I finally had to tell.
My next round.
I am a Malaysian journalist and author, born in George Town, Penang, and raised in Butterworth. My work at the New Straits Times and Malay Mail took me into the lives of people in film, music and beyond. In 1997, I shared an entertainment journalism award.
Through those years, one dream stayed with me: a book inspired by the courage and determination I found in Stallone’s life and films.
In 2007, Jacqueline Stallone travelled to Kuala Lumpur to launch that book. At sixty, I have returned to the experience with a memoir and an updated companion edition.
These books are my next round. I hope they encourage you to find yours.
Every story begins
with a conversation.
